Overview

Situated conveniently at Brisbane Airport, Mezze ZaZa offers a Mediterranean escape amid the usual hustle of airport dining. Specializing in classic dishes like Gyros Pita, Spit Roasted Lamb, and Calamari with Chips, this eatery serves flavorful options designed for travelers seeking quick yet satisfying meals.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the Mezze Feast, a generous plate combining tender chicken, fresh Greek salad, tabbouleh, and soft pita bread paired with tzatziki. The generous portions and vibrant flavors make it a standout choice for those wanting a hearty, authentic Mediterranean experience before a flight. Likewise, the chips—crispy and well-seasoned when done right—draw praise, although seasoning levels can be inconsistent.

Mezze ZaZa’s service cadence caters well to its airport audience; fast-paced and efficient. Several customers appreciate the promptness and friendly staff, which is vital when time is limited. However, some feedback points to rushed preparation and occasional reheating of items, reflecting the challenges of maintaining consistency in a busy food court environment.

While the food largely meets expectations for airport dining, the surrounding space could use more attention. Reports of cleanliness issues around the seating area and floors suggest a gap between the quality of the food and the overall ambience. Improving this aspect would align the physical environment better with the fresh, flavorful menu offerings.

Mezze ZaZa targets travelers and transit passengers seeking traditional Mediterranean flavors without sacrificing convenience. Its menu balances classic staples like spit-roasted lamb and Haloumi with fast-food accessibility, positioning itself as a practical option for those in transit who desire more than just standard airport fare.

In summary, Mezze ZaZa delivers a commendable Mediterranean quick-bite experience right within Brisbane Airport. Though some operational rough edges remain, the robust flavors, generous servings, and friendly service make it a worthy stop for airport meals that go beyond the ordinary.

Great food for an airport. Standard food court fast food at standard airport prices. Service was fast which is pretty important at an airport. The chips were surprisingly crispy, which is more than what I expected at most airports. The kebab was alright, but the lamb seemed more like mince because they were very small chuncks. It was quite flavoursome though.

Visited Mezze Zaza toward the end of service and had a mixed experience. The meat was reheated and we were served the same dip twice, which felt a bit rushed. That said, the dish itself was still more enjoyable than what other food court vendors offered — flavorful and satisfying overall. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the pricing offered great value for money. However, the cleanliness of the food court left much to be desired. Floors and tables were noticeably dirty, and the tiles outside the shop showed heavy grease stains that could use attention. Despite the rough edges, I’d return for the dish itself. With a bit more care to presentation and cleanliness, Mezze Zaza is a good place to have a quick bite.

Honestly pretty good food for an airport food court and surprisingly good value for money. Got a Mezze Feast Plate with chicken, came with Greek salad, tabbouleh, chips and soft and tasty pita bread with tzatziki. Big portions. Would definitely get food from here again next time in transit.

I had the lamb kebab and chips, it wasn’t too bad. Lamb Kebab had good flavour Garlic sauce was nice. Chips were ok just found they put way too much seasoning on which ruined a 1/4 of them. Overall probably go back as I feel it’s a good option for Airport food.

I was going to leave a bad review after waiting an awful long time for them to very slowly prepare meals from what was obviously already cooked - but the Mezze Feast was excellent. Tasty and fresh, and pretty good value for $21 as an airport meal. Would definitely come back
